Job Description

The Logistics Manager manages key client project under the SJ Defence organization and is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. This role oversees all aspects of project including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing progress of project (such as preparing reports to update the management regarding the status of project).

The Logistics Manager should be a meticulous and empathetic team leader with strong people-management skills, committed and results-driven. Ideally, someone with excellent oratorical, written and presentation skills in English.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments and suppliers to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.

Key Tasks

  • Oversee and supervised daily meetings with project team and clients
  • Forecasting, planning and scheduling of manpower to fulfil projects requirements
  • Ensure quality of service to clients
  • Develop and implement corrective action on audit findings
  • Onboarding and induction of new staff
  • Familiarization and orientation of new staff if necessary
  • Assessment and implementation of risk control measures for the sites
  • Prepared monthly progress reports and performed regular work status updates
  • Incident/accident reporting and investigation
  • Overall office administration and oversight of SJD management & client's meetings
  • Manage warehouse operation and inventory
  • Leading and managing team of supervisors, as well as own project team
  • Generate and submit relevant reports for analysis
  • Provide monthly management reports in accordance with the type and format as required by the Authority

Key Requirements


  • Required to be security cleared up to CAT 2A
  • Minimum ITE certification or equivalent and accepted by the Authority
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Medically fit to perform the functions stated in the scope of work
  • Preferred to have at least three years of working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Management, with knowledge in stock management and experience in using Procurement IT Systems (e.g. SAP)
