Logistics Executive/ Senior Assistant Executive

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage bookings, schedules, documentation, and billing for both domestic and international shipments to guarantee timely deliveries.
2. Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL providers, warehouses, and in-house teams to ensure efficient shipment execution and cargo release.
3. Monitor forwarder performance, address shipment challenges, and foster strong relationships with logistics partners.
4. Lead the RFQ (Request for Quotation) and freight bidding processes, involving rate evaluations, negotiations, and selection of cost-effective logistics solutions.
5. Conduct freight cost analysis, prepare logistics performance reports, and monitor operational KPIs for ongoing enhancement.
6. Ensure adherence to customs regulations, HS code classification, Incoterms, and requirements for dangerous goods associated with international shipments.
7. Collaborate with sales, customer service, finance, and regional teams to facilitate customer deliveries and operational strategies.
8. Drive enhancements in logistics processes, transportation optimization, and digitalization initiatives utilizing ERP systems and data analytics tools.

Requirements

1. Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Power BI, and ERP systems.
4. Strong skills in logistics data analysis and monitoring KPIs.
5. Demonstrated project leadership capabilities for logistics improvements and system implementations.
6. Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and EDI platforms for shipment booking, tracking, and invoicing.
7. Ability to utilize AI-powered tools for logistics optimization, such as predictive analytics and route optimization.
8. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities coupled with persuasive communication skills.
9. Capacity to work collaboratively across diverse cultural teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
