We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support daily operations in our roastery. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow across packing, inventory, and general warehouse duties.
You Will:
- Pick, pack, weigh, seal, and label coffee orders for both retail and wholesale customers.
- Monitor packaging supply levels and alert the team when restocking is needed.
- Assist the roasting team with handling, weighing, and sorting green and roasted coffee.
- Conduct regular stock audits and rotate inventory using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure freshness.
- Prepare and dispatch orders, ensuring accurate documentation and labelling for courier services.
- Support wholesale and retail deliveries - a valid driving license is a plus.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across the roastery, storage, and packing areas.
- Help coordinate logistics and product preparation for events, pop-ups, and exhibitions.
- Represent the company in a professional, friendly, and customer-focused manner.
You Are:
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Punctual, dependable, and proactive in your approach to work.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting (up to 20-25kg) and standing for long periods.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- A team player with good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Quick to learn and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passionate about coffee and enthusiastic about contributing to a quality-focused production process.
- Reliable, with strong time management skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- No Experience is welcome!
Nice to Have:
- A valid class 3 driving license (to assist with deliveries when needed).
- An interest in specialty coffee and a desire to deepen your knowledge of the industry.
