Overview
This position is based at the Singapore office of a major Japanese food trading company. , which serves as the ASEANregional headquarters.
The role is responsible for driving logistics operation improvements across the ASEAN region for the food and alcoholic beverage distribution business.
You will work across logistics hubs in countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Myanmar, identifying and visualizing issues related to logistics, inventory, and delivery operations, and leading improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
With the expansion of the food and alcoholic beverage distribution business across ASEAN, this role will focus on identifying challenges and driving improvement projects within logistics and operational functions.
- Understand and assess current operations at logistics hubs and warehouses across ASEAN (including Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, etc.)
- Identify issues in delivery flows and management processes from warehouses to customers in each country
- Plan and propose improvements to logistics, inventory, and delivery-related business processes
- Define requirements and propose improvements for system integration and centralized management
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (local offices, logistics partners, Japan headquarters) and drive projects in a PMO-style role
- Visit customers and partner companies as needed to understand on-site conditions
- Collaborate with Japan headquarters counterparts and prepare reports
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, with experience in one or more of the following areas preferred:
- Logistics companies (warehouse operations, delivery, SCM)
- Food & Beverage (FMCG) distribution or wholesaling
- Warehouse management / inventory management
- Participation in logistics or business system improvement projects
- PMO / project management experience (industry-agnostic)
- English: Business level (required for communication with internal teams and ASEAN regional offices)
- Japanese: Conversational to business level (for coordination with Japanese counterparts and headquarters)
- Not mandatory, but highly preferred
Other Informations
- Business travel: Required (up to 2–3 trips per month within the ASEAN region)
- Salary range: Approximately SGD 8,000 – SGD 10,000 per month (indicative)
- Bonus: Based on performance and contractual terms
