Job Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment and Prep: Conducting pre-assessment checks, verifying patient identity, obtaining informed consent, reviewing medical history, and checking for drug allergies or implants prior to imaging.
- Imaging Assistance: Assisting radiologists and oncologists with specialized imaging procedures, which may involve contrast media administration.
- Symptom Management and Education: Educating patients on imaging procedures and managing symptoms, such as radiation-related toxicity, before and during treatment.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements during imaging protocols.
- Coordination of Care: Working alongside nursing leaders and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless care for patients undergoing diagnostic imaging.
- Emotional Support: Providing care and emotional support to patients and their families, recognizing the anxiety associated with cancer imaging and treatment.
Job Requirements:
- Min. Diploma in Nursing
- Valid SNB and BCLS
- Proficient in Cannulation
- Min. 2-3 years inpatient/outpatient experience
- Able to commit Mon-Fri staggered office hours - 8.30am to 5.30am and 10am to 7pm
