Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established nursing standards and care plans.
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor residents health conditions, vital signs and overall well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Perform nursing procedures including wound dressing, catheter care, nasogastric tube feeding and other clinical procedures as required.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and escalate abnormalities promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of residents where required.
- Provide assistance and supervision for residents activities of daily living where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, medication records and residents care records.
- Ensure proper infection control, medication safety and nursing home safety practices.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) as a Registered Nurse.
- Comfortable caring for elderly residents with varying levels of dependency and medical needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
