This is a locum role for a Physiotherapist to provide high-quality clinical coverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for immediate patient caseload management, including assessment, goal setting, and the delivery of evidence-based interventions. As a locum, you must demonstrate the ability to integrate quickly into the multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining rigorous clinical standards.
Clinical Assessment & Treatment: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and implement tailored treatment plans for diverse conditions (Musculoskeletal, Geriatric, or Neurological).
Cardiopulmonary Care: Perform chest physiotherapy, including airway clearance techniques, secretion management, and respiratory muscle training where indicated.
Rehabilitation: Deliver manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous, timely, and accurate patient records in accordance with hospital/clinic SOPs and MOH guidelines.
Care Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with the existing healthcare team and provide clear education to patients and caregivers to ensure a safe transition of care.
Clinical Expertise: Proficiency in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and respiratory/chest physiotherapy.
Adaptability: Proven ability to adapt to new clinical environments and electronic medical record (EMR) systems quickly.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build immediate rapport with patients and effectively hand over cases to permanent staff.
Licensure: Full and current registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore, with a valid Practising Certificate (PC).
Experience: Practical clinical experience. Prior experience in acute care or home-based services is highly advantageous.
Professionalism: A proactive, patient-centered approach with a high degree of clinical autonomy and ethical practice.
