Job Scope:
- Liaise with and support Class Teacher and Junior School Management Team in all matters pertaining to pastoral well-being, responsibility and strategy
- Supervise students in line with the school's code of conduct for behaviour and discipline
- Complete student observations and feedback to the teacher, as necessary, in a range of formats
- Work alongside the Head of Mandarin in the design of the Mandarin Curriculum for the Early Years
- Responsibility for the day-to-day teaching of the Mandarin Curriculum
- Assist the teacher in the delivery of the taught curriculum, especially Numeracy and Literacy.
- Support students with developing and practising Mandarin conversation throughout the day
- Carry out planned curriculum tasks with individuals or groups under teacher instruction
- Liaise with parents around organisational issues
- Work with teacher to prepare resources for the class
Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (Mandarin) and have valid teaching certification (L1 and/or L2) from ECDA.
- Ability to deliver mandarin curriculum is essential for this role as candidates have to be responsibility for day-to-day teaching of the Mandarin Curriculum
