Drive profit generation and volume growth through effective trading strategies and portfolio optimization.
Execute physical LNG spot cargo trading across global markets, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
Expand trading network by identifying and on-boarding new counter parties and markets, particularly in Asia Pacific area.
Lead negotiations and conclude deals with a wide range of counter parties and end-users, including utilities, national oil companies, and trading houses.
Structure and negotiate MSPAs (Master Sales and Purchase Agreements) and related contractual frameworks.
Perform commercial and financial modelling for LNG transactions, including pricing, risk assessment, and profitability analysis.
Optimize shipping logistics and FOB cargo movements, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.
Monitor global LNG market trends, pricing benchmarks, and regulatory developments to inform trading strategies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including risk, operations, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless trade execution.
Be responsible for internal governance including compiling standards, manual or procedures in relation to the trading department
Oversee and support the trading team in collecting market and transportation-related data, providing fundamental analysis and contributing to trade structuring and LNG trading decisions.
Perform all other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Master Degree of Business or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in LNG trading, with strong exposure to physical spot cargo trading and at least 12 years working experiences in oil and gas industry
Deep understanding domestic gas market including LNG and Pipeline Gas in Asia and especially in China
Proven track record of profit generation, deal execution, and portfolio optimization in LNG markets.
Strong understanding of LNG contracts, including MSPAs and commercial terms negotiation.
Proficiency in financial and commercial modelling, including pricing structures, risk analysis, and valuation of LNG trades.
Proficiency in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers and suppliers.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment with strong decision-making capability.
