LNG Shipping Operator - Energy Trading Company

Description

We are partnering with an established energy trading firm seeking an experienced LNG Shipping Operator to support its expanding global shipping and trading activities. The position will manage LNG vessel operations across spot, voyage charter and term activities, while coordinating closely with traders, charterers, shipowners, terminals, agents and internal stakeholders.

Role

Reporting to the Head of LNG, the role will manage pre- and post-fixture operations for a fleet of LNG carriers, including voyage planning, vessel scheduling, agency nominations, voyage instructions, loading and discharge coordination, port cost review and charter-party settlements. The role will support vessel enquiries across global time zones, review shipping clauses in LNG MSPAs and assist with newbuild vessel deliveries and new LNG project ramp-ups. The operator will also coordinate with shipowners on EU ETS and EUA compliance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in Maritime Studies or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping operations, strong knowledge of LNG carriers, voyage execution, charter-party terms, port costs and shipping documentation. Experience with spot and term LNG cargoes, newbuild vessels, terminal operations and emissions compliance will be advantageous.
