Our client is a leading participant in the global LNG market, with an active presence across spot and short-term trading. The commercial team operates across origination, trading, and contract execution, with a strong focus on Asia-Pacific and broader global LNG flows.
The Role
Our client is seeking an LNG Spot Contracts Analyst to join their commercial team. This is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of trading operations and contract management, supporting the execution and administration of spot and short-term LNG transactions from deal capture through to cargo completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate LNG spot and short-term sale and purchase agreements (SPAs) and heads of agreement (HOAs)
- Coordinate contract execution across trading, legal, operations, and finance teams
- Maintain accurate deal records and contract databases track key milestones, obligations, and deadlines
- Support cargo scheduling and nomination processes in coordination with operations
- Monitor contractual performance and flag any deviations or disputes
- Assist with invoice validation and settlement queries
- Prepare internal reports and summaries for commercial and senior management
What They Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in LNG contract management, trading operations, or a related commercial role
- Solid understanding of LNG spot market mechanics, pricing, and standard contractual frameworks (GIIGNL, master agreements)
- Experience drafting or reviewing LNG SPAs and related documentation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment with tight deadlines
