Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Legal Associate to join our Litigation and Regulatory Practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in litigation, with a passion for advocacy and a keen interest in developing their expertise in this area.

The candidate should also have experience in or strong interest in regulatory work, including advising clients on investigations and compliance with statutory provisions.

You will work closely with senior lawyers and partners on a variety of challenging and rewarding cases, providing support in all aspects of litigation.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: Assist in managing litigation and regulatory cases from inception to resolution, including drafting correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and other legal documents.
• Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal advice and updates on case progress.
• Court Appearances: Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration proceedings as required, under the supervision of senior lawyers.
• Document Review and Discovery: Manage and organize document production and discovery processes, including reviewing and analyzing documents for relevance and privilege.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient handling of cases.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with developments in litigation law and practice in Singapore through ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognised university. Admission to the Singapore Bar is required.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in litigation and/or regulatory work
• Skills:

Strong legal research and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

A team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
