Job Duties
- Work on customer sites within semiconductor cleanroom environments.
- Provide software support for all Semiconductor customers in the Canon's region.
- Troubleshoot software issues and prepare technical reports for customers.
- Set up and maintain lithography tools and related supporting software.
- Learn and apply fundamental knowledge of lithography tools and operations.
- Prepare software release notes and customer-facing documentation in English.
- Provide support during weekends, public holidays, or nighttime when required (infrequent but possible).
- Travel overseas for business, mainly within Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, and India (future).
- Collaborate closely with on-site engineers and overseas Canon software engineers.
- Communicate directly with customers and deliver clear technical reports.
- Escalate software issues to Japan headquarters when necessary.
- Plan and conduct software training or knowledge-sharing sessions for engineers and team members.
- Act as a bridge between Japan headquarters and local engineers for software-related issues.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in software support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in the Japanese language (reading, writing, and speaking) Japanese fluency as to support Japanese related customer and HQ
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux OS commands and operations.
- Experience with online specifications, including requirement clarification and specification negotiation with customers, is preferred.
