Hyphen Partners is working with a global high-frequency trading firm to hire an associate-senior level Systems Engineer (Linux) into its global core systems team, focused on building and optimising the technology that underpins its in-house proprietary trading platform. This is a high-impact role sitting close to the trading environment, working on globally distributed, performance-critical systems.

What you'll enjoy in this role:

• Design, build, and support high-performance Linux-based infrastructure powering real-time trading systems across global data centres
• Work on latency-sensitive environments, continuously optimising system performance, stability, and efficiency
• Own and improve highly automated server environments, including deployment, configuration, and system-level tooling
• Collaborate with engineering teams globally to scale and evolve trading infrastructure in line with business growth
• Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy and capacity planning for a platform operating at serious scale

What you need:

• 2+ years experience in Linux / Unix systems engineering (up to 10 years max)
• Hands-on exposure to performance optimisation, kernel tuning
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, IP, etc.)
