- Role Title: Service Validation & Testing Engineer (Linux Platform)
- Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential to Extend)
We are seeking a Service Validation & Testing Engineer to support the validation of Linux platform builds, operating system patches, and infrastructure services within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on ensuring platform stability, security, and production readiness through automated testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate Linux (RHEL) OS builds, patch releases, and platform services for production readiness.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and Ansible playbooks using Python, Bash, YAML, and JSON.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing across enterprise platforms.
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with Platform Engineering and DevOps teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain test documentation, evidence, and validation reports while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.
- Support validation activities across on-premise and cloud-based environments.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9/10) administration.
- Proficiency in Python, Ansible, Bash, YAML, and JSON scripting.
- Experience in service validation, platform testing, or infrastructure testing.
- Familiarity with Agile, JIRA, and CI/CD environments.
- Experience working within banking, financial services, or other regulated enterprise environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
