Key Responsibilities
. Perform system reviews, proactive tuning, and resilience improvements
. Work with engineering teams on solution design, planning, and configuration
. Establish standards for Linux system software (availability, monitoring, backup/recovery)
. Drive system troubleshooting, recovery, and root cause analysis
. Review/approve change requests and oversee execution of major changes
. Automate routine operational tasks
. Drive patching and OS/software upgrades
. Implement strong monitoring for performance and stability
. Enhance supportability and recovery using modern technologies
. Provide OS expertise during project phases (design implementation handover)
. Support audit and compliance requirements
. Work under a 247 shift based support model
. Respond promptly to incidents, alerts, and support requests
Functional & Technical Competencies
. RHEL/Oracle Linux, UNIX hardware & system services (NTP, NFS, DNS, clustering, TSM, ITM, SSH, etc.)
. Citrix administration experience
. OS upgrade/migration leadership
. Troubleshooting & tuning for Linux/UNIX, Storage/Backup, Citrix
. VCS clustering implementation/administration
. Server hardening knowledge
. Middleware (Connect:Direct, SSH) experience
. Scripting: Bash, Python, Perl
. Linux certification (advantage)
. Satellite & CI/CD experience
