Job: Linux Administrator OpenShift Migration & Automation Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator with mandatory expertise in automation frameworks Git Ops Infrastructure as Code IaC and Bare Metal cluster engineering This role will lead the migration of OpenShift workloads from virtualized environments to baremetal servers and implement automation driven infrastructure to enable declarative version controlled operations

Key Responsibilities

1 Automation First Infrastructure

o Mandatory Design and implement GitOps based automation frameworks to enforce IaC principles

o Enable automated build configuration and maintenance of Bare Metal clusters

o Reduce cycle time for adding new Bare Metal nodes or building new clusters through full automation

o Ensure traceability and recoverability of all changes via scripted version controlled workflows

o Drive a shift from imperative manual step by step operations to declarative desired state driven operations

2 OpenShift Migration

o Lead migration of OpenShift workloads from VMware virtual machines to baremetal infrastructure

o Ensure minimal downtime and compliance with enterprise security standards

3 Baremetal Cluster Engineering

o Architect and optimize baremetal clusters for OpenShift focusing on performance scalability and resilience

o Integrate automation for monitoring patching and disaster recovery

4 Linux Administration

o Manage and secure enterprise grade Linux systems RHEL preferred

o Implement automated patching configuration management and compliance checks

5 Networking Oracle Integration

o Automate network configurations for baremetal clusters VLANs routing DNS

o Support Oracle database deployments within Linux and OpenShift environments

Required Skills Qualifications

Mandatory Automation Expertise

o Proven experience with GitOps ArgoCD or Flux and IaC tools Ansible Terraform

o Strong scripting skills Bash Python for automation tasks

o Experience building CICD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning

Technical Skills

o 7 years of Linux system administration experience

o 4 years of handson experience with OpenShift Container Platform OCP migration and cluster setup

o Knowledge of baremetal provisioning and lifecycle automation

o Networking fundamentals and Oracle database familiarity

Tools Technologies

o Git Ansible Terraform Kubernetes OpenShift

o VMware virtualization and migration strategies

Preferred Qualifications

Red Hat Certified Engineer RHCE or equivalent

Experience with largescale automated deployments

Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance frameworks
