What You'll Do
Kitchen Operations
- Prepare and cook dishes for brunch and all-day dining: eggs-based dishes, sandwiches, grain bowls, mains, sides, waffles, and caf favourites
- Execute menu items consistently according to CMCR's recipes and plating guides
- Maintain quality across flavour, texture, portioning, and presentation
Station & Prep Management
- Run a station efficiently (grill, saut, cold, garnish, prep) during peak service
- Prepare mise en place ahead of service, ensuring accuracy and organisation
- Support a smooth transition between brunch and later meal periods
Quality & Safety
- Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards (SFA/HACCP guidelines)
- Monitor ingredient freshness, proper storage, and FIFO rotation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas
Teamwork & Communication
- Coordinate with team members and chefs during fast-paced service
- Contribute positively to kitchen flow and team morale
- Support new menu trials, improvements, and seasonal updates where needed
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a caf, bistro, or casual dining kitchen (Commis to CDP)
- Strong foundational cooking skills: sauting, grilling, prep techniques, plating
- Ability to work in a fast-paced brunch environment
- Good palate, attention to detail, and high cooking standards
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work weekends and peak operating hours
- Singaporeans and PRs preferred others considered with valid passes
