Job Description Summary
The Lift Manager oversees all lift maintenance and operations within the Town Council's estates, ensuring safety, compliance, and service reliability. This role involves managing contractors, monitoring performance, handling breakdowns and complaints, and implementing improvement plans to maintain high standards of lift service.

About the job:
- Manage and supervise lift maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and safety standards.
- Monitor lift performance, breakdowns, and complaints; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Review and approve maintenance schedules, job sheets, and work orders.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure proper servicing and adherence to regulations.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and vendors on lift-related matters.
- Prepare reports on lift performance, maintenance costs, and budget utilization.
- Coordinate with Finance and other departments on lift works budgeting and expenditure.
- Handle escalated issues and provide technical guidance when necessary.
- Drive initiatives for lift modernization and safety enhancements.
About You
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lift maintenance, building services, or facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of lift systems, safety regulations, and maintenance standards.
- Excellent coordination and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with maintenance management systems.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
