Job Summary
The Lift Engineer (Maintenance) will be responsible for overseeing daily lift and escalator maintenance operations across assigned sites. The role focuses on ensuring high equipment reliability, reducing breakdowns, and maintaining strong service quality standards. You will also lead and support service teams while working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily maintenance activities for lifts and escalators across multiple sites
- Ensure minimal breakdowns and reduce sick units through preventive and corrective maintenance actions
- Lead service teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations
- Conduct site inspections and follow up on customer feedback or complaints
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and statutory requirements
- Monitor service performance, call-back trends, and implement improvement actions
- Work closely with Sales and Project teams on repair, upgrade, or modernization opportunities
- Perform basic cost analysis to ensure maintenance efficiency and control of resources
- Coach and support technicians to improve performance and technical competency
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in lift or escalator maintenance/service operations
- Strong understanding of lift/escalator systems and maintenance procedures
- Familiar with safety standards and operational compliance requirements
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer service mindset
- Able to work independently and manage site operations effectively
- Willing to travel to multiple customer sites as required
