As a Lifeguard,you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool users through active surveillance, enforcement of safety rules, and maintaining poolconditions.
This role also includes basic maintenance and water quality monitoring to ensure a safe and clean environment.
KeyResponsibilities
1. PoolSafety & Surveillance
- Maintain constant vigilance over swimming activities to ensure the safety of all users
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and incidents
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations at all times
- Prevent hazards by ensuring appropriate attire and restricting prohibited items in the pool
2. WaterQuality & Pool Maintenance
- Monitor and record pH and chlorine levels twice daily to ensure compliance with standards
- Check and manage PSI levels perform backwashing when required
- Conduct basic maintenance and upkeep of pool equipment to prevent defects and corrosion
3. Equipment& Inventory Management
- Ensure all lifesaving and first-aid equipment are in good working condition
- Monitor and replenish supplies, including sodium hypochlorite, first-aid items, and water testing kits
4. Reporting& Compliance
- Identify and report any safety hazards or facility defects to the relevant supervisor
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety guidelines and operational procedures
Requirements
- Minimum Secondary Two education
- Valid Bronze Medallion and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
- At least 1 year of relevant lifeguarding experience
- Strong sense of responsibility and alertness
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented with a proactive attitude
- Able to work independently
- Willing to perform shift duties, including weekends and public holidays
AdditionalInformation
- 5-day work week (Monday to Sunday, rostered)
- Rotating shifts:
- 7:00am - 4:15pm
- 11:15am - 8:30pm
- Staff transport provided from Tanah Merah MRT
- Monthly laundry allowance provided
