Job Description

Job Title: Level III NDT Leader

Type: Permanent

Location: Singapore & Australia (Banyo & Pinkenba, QLD)

Overview:

The Level III Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Leader is responsible for leading and executing required NDT inspections and procedures to ensure the ongoing airworthiness, safety, and reliability of aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with The Company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role provides technical expertise, guidance, and oversight within the NDT discipline, supporting operations for all The Company's entities in region and collaborating closely with internal teams to meet customer and compliance expectations.

The Level III Leader plays a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining NDT processes, training and certifying NDT personnel, and ensuring all work aligns with The Company's commitment to excellence, integrity, and customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Excellence

  • Implement and control NDT systems to meet all regulatory and customer requirements
  • Assist the accountable manager in answering any regulatory, external or internal audit communications related to NDT activities
  • Participate where required on any internal or external audits carried out on the The Company's NDT operations. Assist on the management of the related Corrective Action Plans
  • Provide Level III NDT oversight for the The Company's sites in Banyo, Singapore and Pinkenba
  • Undertake required NDT inspections as needed a the The Company's facilities in region.
  • Build the required framework and undertake the training and ongoing approval of other NDT inspection staff for The Company's operations in region.
  • Participate in ongoing hiring and management of NDT operations staff

Systems

  • Education and ongoing development in the use of:
  • Pentagon (Primary ERP System)
  • SERA QMS Management system
  • MS Office Suite of programs
  • Understand and adhere to the The Company's HR Policies
  • Assist in the development and implementation the The Company's Quality and Safety Management Systems. Specifically focusing on the NDT processes and procedures.

Operational Excellence

  • Operate with a Quality First perspective to ensure all tasks are completed to the required level.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for The Company's NDT team to meet operational and quality goals
  • Work alongside Leadership team to develop and grow The Company's NDT Capabilities and markets.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)

  • Exercise a duty of care to ensure your actions don't negatively impact the health and/or safety of others or self in the workplace.
  • Ensure that anything provided for health and safety is not wilfully or recklessly interfered with or misused.
  • Ensure compliance with any of The Company's WHS policies, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by The Company.
  • Ensure that any hazards, incidents, accidents, or near-hits are reported to your supervisor.
  • Use machinery and equipment (including personal protective equipment-PPE) only in accordance with the procedures and training provided to you.
  • Take a lead role in driving safe work practices, creating and fostering an organisational culture that accepts zero harm and prioritises safety.
  • Always ensure safe working practices are followed, and all team members are compliant with all WHS training requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Regularly discuss the safety aspects of all operations with workers and communicate the importance of workplace health and safety.
  • Regularly inspect the workplace for hazards and safety compliance.
  • Investigate all safety incidents to determine causes and what corrective action is required to prevent recurrence.
  • Exercise a duty of care to ensure your actions don't negatively impact the health and/or safety of others or self in the workplace.
  • Ensure that anything provided for health and safety is not wilfully or recklessly interfered with or misused.
  • Ensure compliance with any of The Company's WHS policies, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by The Company.

Key Requirements

  • Formally acknowledged Level III Qualifications in the following Non-Destructive Testing methods:
  • Magnetic Particle Testing
  • Eddy Current Testing
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing
  • Formal Quality Systems Training
  • Ability to attain approval or clearance to work in Australia
  • Aviation Non-Destructive Testing Experience preferrable
  • Previous experience in QMS and SMS Environments
  • Experience in mentoring and training other members of technical teams
  • Be energetic, self-motivated, hands on and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with people at all levels
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
