Job Description
- You will partner and support key business units on product development, IP, protection and launch / distribution. This role will act as an advisory function to help business (product focused) teams manage complex commercial and regulatory landscapes across the APAC region.
- You will support product, sales and marketing teams with real-time legal advice, as well as longer term IP related matters.
- New products launched will face cross-border IP challenges and regulatory obstacles, your role (with the help of in-country counsel / external vendors) will be to anticipate and predict ahead of time where resources should be allocated to overcome challenges.
- You will work with colleagues in Singapore and across Asia to ensure sales and marketing are aligned with products are in line with laws and regulations.
- You will liaise and work with colleagues on global products / projects, many of which will crossover with the US and EMEA.
Requirements
- 8 - 12 PQE
- Education and Law Firm credentials should be Tier 1
- Mixture of law firm and In-House experience preferred but not essential
- Experience in IP and Regulation - essential
- Experience supporting product, sales and marketing teams - desirable
- Softer skills include: Ability to build rapport in short time frames, friendly, high standards on work output, driven but not aggressive
- Ability to work with various cultural backgrounds in Asia and overseas - essential
