Legal Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated legal executive to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist our lawyers in handling a variety of insurance matters, with a focus on defending road traffic accident and workplace injury claims. Many of these claims will be high-profile or involve catastrophic injuries. As and when the need arises the candidate will also assist in other types of insurance advisory and dispute resolution work, such as advising insurers on their liability to indemnify policyholders for making good construction defects or on their exposures to business interruption claims.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interviewing witnesses and taking statements

- Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits and settlement agreements.

- Proving support to lawyers in reviewing insurance policy wordings, analysing documents and carrying out legal research

- Assisting lawyers in preparation of hearings and attending hearings to take notes and provide support to counsel.

- Provide administrative support to our lawyers, such as organising digital files, scheduling meetings and filing documents in court.

- Assisting in marketing efforts including organising seminars for clients.

Requirements:

- Strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment

- Good command of spoken and written English

- Meticulous, organized and possess initiative

- Able to handle a varied caseload

- Able to draft legal documents with accuracy and precision

- Able to analyse complex legal issues

- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
