Support the General Counsel on a broad range of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational legal matters.
Assist with the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of commercial agreements and other legal documents.
Be responsible for corporate secretarial and corporate governance matters as assigned.
Assist with legal and regulatory compliance initiatives, internal policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
Support legal due diligence for corporate transactions, business initiatives, partnerships, and other projects.
Assist with intellectual property matters, including the management and protection of company intellectual property where required.
Coordinate with external legal counsel, corporate secretarial providers, regulators, and other professional advisers as appropriate.
Maintain legal records, contracts, corporate documents, trackers, and other legal documentation to support effective legal operations.
Support cross-border legal matters involving different jurisdictions and business operations.
Assist with dispute management and other contentious matters where required.
Work closely with internal stakeholders across functions to understand business requirements and support practical legal solutions.
Undertake other legal and corporate matters as assigned by the General Counsel.
Requirements
Possess a recognized Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent law degree.
3+ years of relevant legal experience within a reputable law firm and/or in-house role as a Legal Executive, Legal Manager, Paralegal, or comparable legal role.
Strong organizational skills, meticulous with record keeping, and managing deadlines.
High attention to detail with a careful and diligent approach to work.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
Able to manage multiple matters and priorities in a fast-moving business environment.
Mature, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned matters.
Commercially minded with an interest in understanding the business behind legal issues.
Preferred Skills
Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction would be advantageous.
