A leading Asia‑focused alternative investment firm with a long‑standing regional presence is seeking an Executive Director, Legal to support its real assets strategy across APAC. This is a senior, transaction‑driven legal role working at the core of the investment process, supporting complex cross‑border acquisitions, platform builds and asset‑level transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and independently execute investment and M&A transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and platform investments across APAC
- Advise on transaction structuring, legal risk analysis and deal strategy from initial evaluation through to completion
- Manage and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring cost‑effective and commercial execution
- Provide ongoing legal support for asset management activities, including financings, refinancings, restructurings and disposals
- Partner closely with investment professionals as a trusted legal adviser, delivering practical, risk‑based commercial advice
Experience & Background:
- Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (e.g. UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore)
- 15+ years post‑qualification experience
- Training and progression within top‑tier international law firms (Counsel level or above); senior in‑house experience at a PE or real assets investment platform is an advantage
- Strong exposure to real assets, infrastructure or private equity transactions in APAC

- Able to run transactions independently with minimal supervision
- Strong commercial judgement and a solutions‑oriented, execution mindset
- Hands‑on and detail‑driven, yet capable of managing complexity at a portfolio level
- Comfortable handling multiple live deals in parallel under time pressure
