We are seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Director to lead our global legal and compliance function. This role will play a critical part in supporting business growth, managing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner closely with senior leadership and drive legal excellence across all aspects of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Global Compliance & Strategy
- Develop and implement a robust global legal and compliance framework
- Ensure business operations align with local laws, regulations, and international standards across all regions
Contract Management & Legal Systems
- Establish and optimize global contract management processes and standardized templates
- Lead the review and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, investments, and strategic transactions
- Build and maintain a comprehensive legal risk management system
Dispute Resolution & Strategic Support
- Oversee and manage significant litigation, arbitration, and dispute matters
- Provide legal leadership in key business activities including negotiations, M&A, and financing initiatives
Legal Advisory & Risk Control
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proactively identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks across global operations
Team Leadership & External Counsel Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing global legal team (including Singapore and overseas offices)
- Manage external legal advisors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective legal support
Regulatory Intelligence & Knowledge Management
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments across key markets
- Build and maintain a centralized legal knowledge base to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
Education
- Master's degree in Law (or equivalent) from a reputable institution
- Overseas legal qualifications (e.g., LL.M., J.D.) or foreign bar admission are advantageous
Experience
- 8-10+ years of legal experience in top-tier law firms and/or multinational corporations
- At least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Legal Director, Senior Legal Counsel)
- Experience in technology, manufacturing, or internet sectors is a plus
- Proven experience managing global legal systems and cross-border matters

- Strong expertise in corporate law, commercial contracts, foreign investment, data privacy, IP, and dispute resolution
- Demonstrated success handling complex transactions and compliance programs
- Excellent bilingual communication skills (English & Chinese), with English as the primary working language
