The incumbent will be a key contributor, managing and advising on all legal regulatory and compliance matters within the Group.
Responsibilities
- Managing the regulatory matters of the Group, including communications with government and regulatory agencies and legal professionals.
- Oversee the regulatory framework of the Group.
- Collaborating and advising with the senior management team to devise mitigation strategies to meet regulatory risk.
- Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
- Providing local law advice and counsel on cross-border and in country regulatory issues.
- Working with business units to help develop and execute their business strategies and objectives.
- Advising on licensing and conduct regulations in various jurisdictions.
- Lead and engage in projects of a regulatory nature.
- Working with stakeholders on dealings with regulators in the APAC region.
- Providing legal advice on compliance policies, advising and working with other compliance functions.
- Keeping all business units updated on legislative and regulatory developments in the law applicable to the Group's businesses.
Qualifications
- Completed a Bachelor of Law (LLB) undergraduate degree or an equivalent degree.
- Preference for candidates with experience in tobacco or pharmaceutical industries.
- Adaptable, versatile and commercial, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- PQE more than 6 years
