Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to management and business units concerning applicable laws and regulations. Participate in new business initiatives alongside business and risk teams. Handle investment banking transactions by reviewing and negotiating contracts and legal documents. Develop and maintain awareness of legal and regulatory developments, keeping stakeholders informed of relevant updates. Establish and conduct training programs, and update policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes. Exercise sound business and legal judgment with a high level of professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues. Collaborate with legal teams in other jurisdictions. Provide daily operational support and legal advice to various business units. Support senior leadership within the organization.
Requirements
- Law degree from a reputable law school. Singapore-qualified lawyer. Exposure to capital markets, IPOs, M&A, and private equity transactions. Experience in secondary market operations, including equities trading, FICC, and wealth management is advantageous. Familiarity with local laws and regulations. Strong analytical abilities and excellent legal drafting skills. Demonstrated integrity and professional ethics with a responsible work approach. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely. Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively under pressure. Detail-oriented and diligent in project execution.
