About the Role:
Our client, a growing asset management company based in Singapore, is seeking a Sole Legal Counsel to join its team. This is a key hire to support the firm's strategic and transactional work, particularly in connection with Hong Kong IPO projects and ongoing regulatory matters in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary legal contact for the company, overseeing all legal and compliance matters.
- Work closely with external counsel on Hong Kong IPO-related transactions.
- Advise management on Singapore regulatory issues, including MAS licensing and compliance requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and internal policies.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 510 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally trained at a reputable law firm.
- Experience with Hong Kong IPOs is essential.
- Familiarity with MAS regulations and the Singapore regulatory landscape is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage, as the role involves regular communication with stakeholders in Mainland China.
