Legal Counsel (Shipping/Maritime)

Our client, an established international organisation in a highly regulated, technical industry is looking for an Legal Counsel to join their team. Reporting into senior legal leadership, this role offers broad exposure across a range of legal matters and the opportunity to support cross-border business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support across areas such as employment, IP, data privacy, disputes, insurance, and insolvency
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documentation
• Conduct legal research and contribute to internal policies, governance, and strategic projects
• Manage external counsel and help identify legal risks with practical, business-focused solutions

Requirements

• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized University
• Common law bar admission with 3+ PQE
• Strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Commercially minded with the ability to handle sensitive legal matters collaboratively
