Our client is a leading energy and infrastructure company undertaking large-scale projects across the region. They are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join their legal team and provide strategic support on complex EPC and project development matters.
Key Responsibilities of this Legal Counsel – Projects & Construction:
- Advise on major infrastructure and EPC projects, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction-related agreements such as guarantees, security bonds, consultancy and services contracts, Pre-FEED/FEED agreements, NDAs, MOUs, joint venture agreements, and O&M contracts.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing tender documents and negotiating supplier contracts.
- Provide legal guidance on project financing, risk management, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Offer general legal support on a variety of matters, including disputes and employment issues, as required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure timely and commercially sound solutions.
Ideal Candidate for this Legal Counsel – Projects & Construction:
- Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience, admitted to the Singapore Bar.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in EPC contracts, gained in a law firm or in-house environment.
- Exposure to project development, M&A, and financing transactions is highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- A proactive team player with exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
