Our client is a Singapore-headquartered private equity firm with a strong track record of investments globally. As part of their continued growth and fund activities, they are looking to hire a Legal Counsel on a 1-year contract basis to support the legal team. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team and gain hands-on exposure to fund formation, structuring, and ongoing fund governance within a reputable and well-capitalised investment house.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the General Counsel and working closely with the investment and finance teams, you will play a key role in supporting fund-related matters including fund formation, review and negotiation of LPAs and side letters, coordination with external counsel across jurisdictions, regulatory compliance and ongoing investor-related documentation. The role will also involve advising on fund structuring, co-investment arrangements, and ensuring adherence to internal governance frameworks and fund documentation.
Requirements
You should ideally be a Singapore-qualified (or common law qualified) with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house within a private equity, asset management, or funds environment. Strong familiarity with private fund structures and fund of funds work will be advantageous.
