A leading regional media and entertainment firm is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid‑level lawyer to take ownership of legal matters across Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities:
- Advising the media business on day‑to‑day legal matters and strategic initiatives across the region
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including content acquisition, production, distribution and partnership agreements
- Providing legal and regulatory advice on areas such as advertising, subscription models, sales and marketing, IP, data protection, content regulation and compliance
- Supporting transaction‑related work, including M&A and other corporate initiatives
- Managing contentious matters and liaising independently with external counsel and relevant authorities
- Working cross‑functionally with internal teams and contributing to broader group legal initiatives as required
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 6–8 years PQE, ideally with in‑house and/or relevant private practice experience
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills
- Strong commercial mindset, solutions‑oriented and comfortable working autonomously
- Fluent in English and Chinese required.
- Well‑organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
