Our client is a diversified investment and project development group with a strong presence across Asia, operating in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, natural resources, and advanced materials. With a headquarters in Singapore and project sites across the region, the business is expanding rapidly and investing in large-scale, cross-border developments. You will be joining a legal team with regional exposure and working closely with senior leadership on high-value deals and strategic growth initiatives. They have a strict policy of 5 WFO at their office in downtown Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on financing, capital markets, and corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security packages, and related documentation.
- Assist on M&A and project development matters, including due diligence, structuring, and execution of acquisitions and joint ventures.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including shareholders agreements, joint ventures, and development services agreements.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Legal, Finance, Risk, and Tax to ensure effective transaction execution and compliance with corporate governance requirements.
- Advise on regulatory, operational, and compliance-related issues impacting regional businesses.
- Manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality advice.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer (common law) with in-house or private practice experience (2-4 PQE)
- Ideally with experience in corporate/M&A, project finance, or capital markets transactions.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial and transactional documentation.
- Solid understanding of cross-border deals and the ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and able to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-driven team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.
