Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel with dual-bar qualifications and deep expertise in navigating complex cross-border compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in PRC and international (including US) frameworks, acting as a strategic advisor to multinational companies in managing legal risk, cross-border investigations, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Dual-Bar Legal & Compliance Expertise
    Provide seamless legal and compliance support across PRC and US regulatory frameworks.
    Advise multinational companies on risk management in dual-jurisdiction matters.
  2. Multi-Jurisdictional Compliance Management
    Manage concurrent regulatory compliance issues where PRC and international (including US) laws intersect or conflict.
    Reduce legal risk and operational delays in complex cross-border regulatory landscapes.
  3. Cross-Border Anti-Corruption & Internal Investigations
    Lead and conduct internal investigations, including FCPA-related matters.
    Handle evidence preservation, stakeholder interviews, and dual-jurisdiction reporting requirements across domestic and international environments.
  4. PRC Litigation & Cross-Border Arbitration
    Manage PRC litigation and international arbitration cases with a focus on cross-border implications.
    Oversee asset recovery, enforcement of foreign judgments, and reputational risk mitigation for global parent companies.
  • Bilingual Stakeholder Engagement & Legal Strategy
    Act as a communication bridge between international headquarters, regulators, and local operations in China and/or ASEAN using fluent Mandarin and English.
    Ensure consistent legal messaging and alignment in high-stakes cross-border situations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in compliance, litigation management, and cross-border regulatory issues for multinational companies.
  • Master's Degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent).
  • Hands-on expertise in anti-corruption investigations and international dispute resolution.
