The Role:
We are hiring a dedicated Legal Counsel to manage and advise on a wide range of legal disputes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in litigation and arbitration, who can effectively protect the company's interests in both local and international matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and other legal documents for court and arbitration proceedings.
- Work closely with external legal counsel, providing instructions and monitoring case progress.
- Advise internal stakeholders on dispute risks, compliance issues, and preventive strategies.
- Handle pre-litigation matters, including negotiations and settlement discussions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent law degree.
- Admitted to the Singapore Bar with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation and/or international arbitration.
- Strong track record in handling complex disputes in Singapore courts and/or arbitral institutions (e.g., SIAC, ICC).
- Excellent advocacy, drafting, and communication skills.
- High integrity, discretion, and ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters.
- Resilient, with the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
