We are working with a leading international hospitality and real estate platform with a strong presence across Asia and beyond. As part of its continued growth, the business is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join its established regional legal team.
This role offers a broad and engaging scope, with a primary focus on data privacy and intellectual property, alongside exposure to key commercial arrangements within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on data protection and privacy matters, including regulatory compliance, cross-border data transfers, and internal policy frameworks
- Support intellectual property matters, including brand protection, licensing, and portfolio management
- Review, draft, and negotiate hotel management agreements (HMAs) and related commercial contracts
- Provide day-to-day legal support to business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Partner closely with operational, marketing, and technology teams on legal and compliance initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of policies, processes, and training in relation to privacy and IP
- Work collaboratively within an established regional legal team and manage external counsel where required
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 4–8 PQE
- Strong experience in data privacy and/or intellectual property (both preferred)
- Exposure to commercial contracts, ideally within hospitality, real estate, or consumer-facing industries
- Familiarity with hotel management agreements (HMAs) or similar operational contracts is advantageous
- Prior in-house experience is preferred but not essential
- Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regional, stakeholder-driven environment
