Legal Counsel (Contract - 8-12 Months)

Cana Consulting is partnering exclusively with a sizable corporation. They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join the team. This position will be a contract role, with a potential to convert to full-time.

The position offers great regional exposure and dedication to employee training. This role will handle legal, compliance, as well as corporate governance responsibilities.

Role:

• Review, draft, and negotiate corporate commercial agreements
• Handling corporate secretarial matters i.e. board meetings, resolutions, minutes
• Handling compliance aspects i.e. regulatory requirements, risk assessments, ensuring that ethics and compliance risks are mitigated
• Other projects (internal library, digitalization-ready)

Requirements:

• Called to Singapore Bar with good academic standing
• 6-10 PQE
• Willingness to handle a broad scope consisting of corporate governance (compliance, corporate secretarial)
• Eager to learn, proactive to find solutions, and open to communicate
• Values team-work
• Lawyers from corporate practice in boutique/larger law firms are welcome to apply
