Our client, a US-listed multinational corporation, is looking to hire a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 5 years PQE to join its in-house legal team.
This role will provide broad-based legal support across the business, with a particular focus on banking & finance, capital markets, and/or payments-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on banking & finance, capital markets, and/or payments matters, including financing arrangements, treasury transactions, and related regulatory considerations
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and financing documentation
- Advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory risk across jurisdictions
- Support corporate transactions, including financings, refinancings, and capital markets activity as needed
- Liaise with external counsel on complex or specialised matters
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business, including payments regulation where applicable
- Partner closely with compliance, finance, and business teams to ensure legal risk is appropriately managed
- Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial matters as required
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE
- Background in banking & finance, capital markets, or payments - from law firm practice, in-house, or a combination of both
- Candidates coming straight from private practice are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and legal functions
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed MNC environment
- Excellent communication skills and sound commercial judgment
