Our client, a leading fintech with a strong regional footprint, is seeking a high-calibre Legal Counsel (circa 3-6 PQE) to join their well-established and high-performing legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a wide spectrum of fintech products and strategic initiatives, working closely with an experienced, highly qualified, and passionate manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support across a broad range of fintech products, including lending, payments, digital wallets, merchant solutions, and other financial services.
- Advise on regulatory requirements across multiple APAC jurisdictions, working closely with compliance and risk stakeholders.
- Support product development teams on end-to-end product lifecycle matters, from ideation and structuring to launch and ongoing enhancements.
- Draft, negotiate, and review a wide variety of commercial agreements, including partnership agreements, vendor contracts, platform terms, and customer-facing documentation.
- Advise on data protection, cybersecurity, and consumer protection requirements relevant to fintech operations.
- Assist with licensing matters, regulatory filings, and engagement with financial regulators where required.
- Provide strategic legal support on cross-functional initiatives, internal policies, and broader corporate governance matters.
- Collaborate with global and regional legal colleagues to ensure alignment with group standards and risk frameworks.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of PQE, gained from a combination of reputable international law firms and/or in-house experience with fintech, financial services, or technology companies.
- Strong grounding in financial regulatory, payments, lending, and/or digital financial services matters.
- Solid experience advising on commercial contracts and regulatory frameworks across APAC.
- Familiarity with data protection laws and digital/technology-related legal issues.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders and product/technology teams.
- Commercially pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
