Job Description
- Provide practical legal advice to support commercial and trading activities
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
- Advise stakeholders on contractual risks and mitigation strategies
- Support dispute management, negotiations and resolution processes
- Partner with business teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting operations and recommend appropriate actions
- Work closely with management on strategic legal and corporate matters
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised institution
- Minimum 5 years of Post-Qualification Experience, Oil & Gas/Shipping Trading
- Experience in commercial contracts and legal advisory work
- Strong contract drafting, analytical and negotiation capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively with stakeholders
- Exposure to litigation, trade law, commodity trading, shipping law or related sectors will be advantageous
- Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem-solving
