Legal Associate / Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial Practice

As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to work in a close-knit and collaborative team that handles a broad range of commercial, regulatory and regional matters.

You will gain experience and be involved in a variety of domestic and regional commercial matters, joint ventures and other strategic corporate actions (such as amalgamations, reorganisations and re-domiciliation), working closely with clients to understand their business objectives and function as their external general counsel.

Moreover, as Singapore functions as the hub for ASEAN and Asia, and the last remaining bridges between East and West, you will frequently be involved in cross border and regional work, advising clients and stakeholders and managing key aspects of foreign investment across a wide range of industries and countries. Additionally, you will gain experience and be involved in structuring foreign direct investments, joint ventures and other regional strategic corporate transactions.

On the regulatory front, you will be involved in advisory work across a range of non-financial sectors. You will also get the opportunity to handle regulatory aspects that are cross sectoral in nature such as privacy, anti-corruption and bribery, healthcare, consumer protection and sanctions.

Requirements

• Singapore qualified lawyer with at least 3 to 6 years post qualification experience.
• Experience in general transactional and corporate matters.
• Experience in cross border advisory matters including foreign investment approvals and foreign direct investment.
• Good grounding in legal knowledge, communication and drafting skills.
• Possesses initiative, drive, commercial acumen, and works well in a team.
• Willingness to travel for work.
