Our client is a well-established legal practice in Singapore. seeking a Legal Associate to join its Civil & Commercial Litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on a broad range of contentious matters, with structured mentoring and exposure to court proceedings.
- Assist in managing civil and commercial litigation matters from commencement through to resolution.
- Attend court hearings, Case Conferences, Pre-Trial Conferences, mediations and other litigation-related proceedings.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, correspondence and Letters of Demand.
- Conduct legal research and provide case analysis to support ongoing matters.
- Prepare litigation bundles and manage court filings via eLitigation.
- Liaise with clients, counsel and relevant stakeholders while ensuring matters progress efficiently.
- Maintain accurate case records and monitor key litigation timelines.
Requirements:
- Admitted (or eligible for admission) as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
- Newly Qualified (NQ) to 2 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Civil, Commercial or General Litigation.
- Practice Trainees with substantial litigation exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of Singapore civil procedure and the Rules of Court.
- Familiarity with eLitigation and legal research platforms.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and professionalism.
