About the Role
In this role, you will act as the primary guardian of our legal and regulatory frameworks. You will provide sound legal advice on real estate transactions, ensure strict adherence to compliance standards, and facilitate smooth business operations across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements related to real estate transactions (leasing, acquisitions, divestments, and property management).
- Compliance Management: Develop and maintain internal compliance policies (AML/CFT) and ensure the company remains up-to-date with evolving regulations in the real estate sector.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal and compliance risks and provide proactive solutions to management.
- Corporate Secretariat: Assist with corporate secretarial matters, including board resolutions and regulatory filings.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external counsels, regulators, and business partners.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law or similar, from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), specifically within the Real Estate industry or a law firm with a strong conveyancing/real estate practice, in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
- Language Skills:Proficiency in English and Mandarin (Spoken and Written) is required to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients and counterparts.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of local land law and property regulations. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
