[What the role is]
This is a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position focused on delivering high-quality education in Cloud Computing. The role involves teaching and mentoring learners in areas such as cloud architecture, cloud engineering practices and platform development. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development and guide learners in building production-ready, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. Interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deploying AI workflows on cloud platforms will be considered an added advantage. The role also includes driving industry collaboration and applied projects.
[What you will be working on]
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and deliver learning units in the following areas
- Cloud Infrastructure: implementing fault-tolerant, and scalable systems on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc).
- Cloud Computing: covering development of cloud-native applications using languages such as Python or JavaScript, working with RESTful APIs, SDKs, and managed cloud services.
- DevOps & CI/CD: implementing automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop and update course materials, assessments, and hands-on lab exercises.
- Supervise student projects and provide guidance aligned with industry practices.
- Participate in curriculum development, academic quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends by initiating and developing industry-relevant projects and integrating emerging technologies into teaching practices.
[What we are looking for]
We are seeking a candidate who possesses:
- Relevant academic qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc) and working with cloud APIs/SDKs.
- Strong communication skills, with a genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and engaging learners.
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deploying AI workflows on cloud platforms will be considered a plus.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc) will be an advantage.
