[What the role is]
We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to advancing teaching and learning excellence across Nanyang Polytechnic and the wider Polytechnic and ITE sector. As part of CTLD, you will design and deliver professional development programmes, drive innovation in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, and partner with Schools, Departments and external stakeholders to strengthen staff capabilities. You will play an active role in institution-wide and sector-level initiatives, workplace learning projects and communities of practice that enhance teaching quality and academic excellence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and forward-thinking professional with strong writing, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, who enjoys working across organisational boundaries to create meaningful impact on educator and learner success.
[What you will be working on]
- Design, develop and deliver T&L professional development programmes for academic staff.
- Partner with NYP Schools, Departments and Centres, as well as external organisations and sector partners, to advance T&L innovation and professional development opportunities.
- Plan, organise and facilitate seminars, workshops, communities of practice and capability-building initiatives to strengthen staff competencies in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Lead and contribute to Polytechnic-wide and joint-poly/ ITE-wide initiatives, projects and workgroups related to curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and academic quality.
- Support workplace learning and capability development initiatives that enhance staff performance, professional growth and industry relevance.
- Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, resource materials and publications to support institutional and sector-wide T&L initiatives.
- Work effectively across departments and stakeholder groups to drive collaboration, alignment and the successful implementation of T&L projects and initiatives.
[What we are looking for]
- At least three years of relevant teaching experience in a local higher education institution.
- Strong interest in teaching and learning, workplace learning and staff professional development.
- Excellent writing, communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments, Schools and the Polytechnic / ITE-wide sector.
- Innovative, organised and self-motivated team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant experience in curriculum development, pedagogy, assessment, competency-based education, educational technology, workplace learning and/or educational research.
