[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Nursing in the School of Health Sciences.
The position is full-time.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, develop, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for Diploma and/or Specialist Diploma, Advanced Diploma courses in at least two of the following areas:
- Palliative Care Nursing
- Peri-operative Nursing
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Paediatric Nursing
- Geriatric Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Nursing Research
- Integrated Nursing Science
- Pharmacology
- Implement the latest ICT-enabled learning pedagogies and support the development of these tools.
- Provide pastoral care to students to support learning.
- Support school's outreach efforts, students local and overseas programmes.
- Support academic support duties and any other duties as assigned.
[What we are looking for]
- A degree in nursing.
- At least 3 years working experience in clinical and/or hospital setting in Singapore.
- Familiar with clinical practice at hospital wards and the teaching of the inter-relationship between normal body functioning and the underlying physiology, pathophysiological mechanism of diseases states and their pharmacological management is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Pre-requisites That Are Advantageous
- Post- Graduate Diploma in Higher Education, Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and/or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE).
