Job Description

[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Nursing in the School of Health Sciences.

The position is full-time.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Plan, develop, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for Diploma and/or Specialist Diploma, Advanced Diploma courses in at least two of the following areas:
  • Palliative Care Nursing
  • Peri-operative Nursing
  • Medical-Surgical Nursing
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Paediatric Nursing
  • Geriatric Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Nursing Research
  • Integrated Nursing Science
  • Pharmacology
  • Implement the latest ICT-enabled learning pedagogies and support the development of these tools.
  • Provide pastoral care to students to support learning.
  • Support school's outreach efforts, students local and overseas programmes.
  • Support academic support duties and any other duties as assigned.

[What we are looking for]

  • A degree in nursing.
  • At least 3 years working experience in clinical and/or hospital setting in Singapore.
  • Familiar with clinical practice at hospital wards and the teaching of the inter-relationship between normal body functioning and the underlying physiology, pathophysiological mechanism of diseases states and their pharmacological management is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Pre-requisites That Are Advantageous

  • Post- Graduate Diploma in Higher Education, Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and/or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE).
