[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Nursing in the School of Health Sciences.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, develop, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for Diploma and/or Specialist Diploma, Advanced Diploma courses in at least two of the following areas:
- Palliative Care Nursing
- Peri-operative Nursing
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Paediatric Nursing
- Geriatric Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Nursing Research
- Pharmacology
- Implement the latest ICT-enabled learning pedagogies and support the development of these tools.
- Conduct clinical supervision and mentor students during clinical attachments.
- Review and keep teaching/learning activities current to meet industry standards.
- Provide pastoral care and learning support to students.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Advanced Diploma in Nursing in a specialized area.
- Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board practicing certificate.
- At least 3 years of post-registration experience in clinical supervision and teaching in a hospital or academic setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic data analysis skills
- Good interpersonal skills, prior experience in supervisory role would be an advantage.
