Lecturer/Manager (Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics) / School of Informatics & IT
[What you will be working on]
- Deliver full-time and part-time teaching in areas related to Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, and other foundational ICT modules.
- Design, develop, review, and maintain curriculum, course materials, and assessments, with continuous improvements to enhance students learning outcomes, performance, and employability.
- Facilitate the development of student competencies in project-based learning, including e-learning and self-directed learning approaches.
- Coach and mentor students to support their academic progress, personal development, and career readiness.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, including industry partners, parents, and schools, to support outreach and strengthen academic-industry linkages.
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of academic staff.
- Support the Course Chair in monitoring curriculum delivery, academic standards, and student progression within the diploma programme.
- Undertake academic governance responsibilities, including vetting of assessments, teaching materials, and lesson plans.
- Guide academic staff in performance development and career progression through appraisals and mentoring.
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
- Candidates with fewer years of experience but demonstrating a clear interest and willingness to pivot from general IT domains into cybersecurity will also be considered.
- Strong passion for education, with the ability and commitment to teach and engage youth and adult learners as a primary role.
For senior candidates, preference will be given to those with:
- oExperience in team leadership and management
- oStrong domain expertise in relevant academic fields
- oFamiliarity with the polytechnic education context in Singapore
- oGood understanding of academic operations, policies, and processes
- oProven track record of leading teams and driving outcomes
- Demonstrated willingness to continuously learn and upskill, particularly in cybersecurity-related areas.
- Relevant IT and/or cybersecurity certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, with an interest in working with teenagers and young adults.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
